We do not advise anyone to pre-book an electrician, plumber, builder, or any installer until goods have been received and checked.

Making A Purchase For Stock Items.
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

Made To Order Products/Special orders
Some items on our website are individually made to order, once ordered and confirmed these items can not be cancelled or returned as they are made order and at the customer’s request.

We accept credit card payment.

We accept
Visa, Delta, Solo and MasterCard. We do not charge for any Stock item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, post or over the Internet.

You’re Right to Cancel
Under the United Kingdom's distance selling regulations; you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase of any of these items within a period of 7 working days, beginning with the day after the day on which the item is delivered.
This does not apply to special order & made to order products.
Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us or our suppliers unless we delivered the goods to you in error or they are faulty.
All goods must be returned undamaged and in the original packaging.

There is a 25% Restocking charge for all goods returned.
If a collection is required a charge may be made.

Shipping and Handling
all orders with any amount of products have one single delivery charge of £10.00 + Vat 
In extreme circumstances / postal areas P & P surcharge may apply.

Channel Islands (Jersey & Guernsey) will be subject to a 10% delivery surcharge.

Delivery Schedule
we process your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 3 - 5 business days.
Certain items listed within our web site are not standard stock items and can take longer than the stated delivery time.
All customers will be contacted by email to confirm a convenient delivery date between the days of Monday and Friday 8 AM to 5 PM (excluding weekends) - we are unable to give exact delivery times.
You can also specify your required date between the days of Monday and Friday (excluding weekends) on your online order.
On arrival all goods must be inspected carefully for any signs of damage by the customer or agent, should you find any damage please ask the driver to take the goods back with them, or sign the delivery document as damaged, or if you do not have time to inspect properly please sign the document as un-checked.
Please open all boxes or parcels as soon as they arrive, you have 7 days to notify www.generalsupplies.com of any damage, shortages or incorrect items, if we are not notified of damage, shortages or incorrect items within this time, you agree to indemnify www.generalsupplies.com in full against any losses we suffer as a result of your failure to notify us within 7 days.
PLEASE NOTE: We will only make one delivery, if you are not at the delivery address to accept the delivery a charge will be made to deliver a second time.
There will be one person per vehicle and for health and safety the driver is only contracted to deliver curb side, Delivery inside a customers property is at the drivers discretion.
For large and heavy items please ensure there will be adequate assistance in helping the driver unload.

Delivery dates are approximate and no liability is accepted in respect of late deliveries, please do not arrange to install the items until after they have been delivered and checked for damage

Delivery to a different address other than the card holder address is at our discretion.

Please do not install your product if it is damaged, or incorrect as once it is installed you have agreed to it being in good condition.

Back Orders
if your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Returns Policy
Please note that you will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us or our suppliers unless we delivered the goods to you in error or they are faulty.

There is a 25% restocking charge on all products returned.

Damaged goods
For goods which have arrived damaged you will need to contact us within 3 working days of receipt of the order.
Tax Charges
For orders made from the UK, 17.50% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security
we know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

You have seven days cancellation period after you have received the goods providing that they are in a re-saleable condition, you will have to pay collection/courier service and any re-handling charge up to a maximum of 40% of the products. We will endeavour to keep a re-handling charge to a minimum and will be at cost only.
We will endeavour to respond to all complaints within 5 working days.
This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

General Supplies Ltd. does not disclose buyer’s information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping cart once you have selected an item.
Any information given at the time ordering is collected by ourselves for the sole intention of completing your order. We do not send marketing material and your information is dormant after order is completed.

Upon termination, your indebtedness to us becomes immediately due and payable and we shall be under no further obligation to supply goods to you.

Force Majeure
We shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or for any damage or defect to goods supplied or delivered hereunder that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control (including, without limitation, strikes, lockouts and other industrial disputes).

General
If any part of these conditions is invalid, illegal or unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the validity, legality or enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected. This contract shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with English law.
